So this year I sat watching my clock on my computer waiting for it to be midnight so I could say "happy new year" to myself because I'm the only one awake. I didn't watch the ball drop because well were I am I don't have cable and apparently you can't watch it live online. I'm babysitting my three nieces while my brother and my sister-in-law go to an adult only party at her mothers house. The kids, like always, were crazy. The oldest, Brianna, told me to tell her when it was the new year... but when I went up to tell her that there was only two minutes left I saw that she was asleep (the other two were asleep long before Brianna).
During the time that I waited for the New Year to come, I thought. I thought about making this year better than the past two, I simply sighed and said to myself: "This year better be good" and I can kind of feel it in my gut that it will be good. It's like when the clock struck twelve there was a weight lifted off my shoulders and I wasn't leaving any glass slippers behind. (That probably didn't make much sense... I just wanted to throw that in there it sounded cool XD)
